Is a very bizarre game. I’m not sure if I like it more than Dawn of Sorrow or not.
It adds a lot of things I like but it doesn’t do it very well really. There are quests, yeah! But they are all pretty simple and not very interesting to be honest. They got rid of the terrible souls system, yeah! But they decided to add a secondary character that isn’t really necessary or useful. There’s Death and Dracula, yeah! But they’re tacked on and not central to anything that’s going on. There are tons of different areas to explore, yeah! But most aren’t very long and they reuse assets on half of the worlds so I’m not sure if that counts.
I’m enjoying it, don’t get me wrong. I’m at the end now have what should be 2 boss fights left and the 10 hours I’ve spent with it has been worth it. It’s just that where there was somethings that annoyed me in DoS that they changed for this it didn’t make it a better game.
Well there’s still Order of Ecclesia. I’ll soon find out if the third one managed to be the perfect blend of the first 2 or if it turns out to be something else entirely.
